Due to the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus in the coming months, it is with deepest disappointment we announce that the 2020 Modie Risher Classic has been canceled. With many of the unknowns of our school district and many teams participating no longer allowed to travel overnight/out of state we feel we cannot run a quality and safe tournament for all to enjoy this year. The tournament will return in Dec 2021.

Hart Co. Girls Team Camp–June 11 & June 16, 2020 Hart County girls basketball will host 2 one-day team camps on Thursday June 11th & Tuesday June 16th. Open to the first 8 varsity girls teams that would like to play. Format will be an 8 team bracket. You will play 3 games: Game 1 (@ 9:00 or 10:00) Game 2 (@ 12:00 or 1:00) Game 3 (@ 3:00 or 4:00). Carvers Bay High School will once again host their annual Summer League for boys’ basketball this season.  Now in our 15th season during the dates of June 12th, 13th, 17th, and 18th, the CB Summer League is the oldest and largest high school summer league in the state of South Carolina.  We would love to add your team to our ever growing list of high school boys’ basketball teams.  Over the years hundreds of teams from Varsity and JV HS levels in WV, VA, NC, GA, and SC have played in the CB Summer League.  The level of competition is second to none, with participation of past and present state champions and state runner-ups, regardless of classifications, and Lower State participants, Region Champions, and a virtual who’s who of programs made up of over 75% of SCHSL qualified playoff caliber teams makes the Carvers Bay Summer League one of the most competitive summer events in the state every year.

Coach Ford was a beloved basketball coach in Cheraw who passed away unexpectedly 6 years ago, we hold this jamboree in his honor. There is no cost to participate.
