Woodmont High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our athletic department. The successful candidate will design and implement strength and conditioning programs to enhance the performance and overall well-being of our student-athletes. This position requires a Physical Education (PE) certification and a passion for fostering athletic development in a high school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strength, conditioning, and fitness programs tailored to various sports teams and individual athletes.
  • Conduct training sessions focusing on strength, speed, agility, endurance, and injury prevention.
  • Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and staff to ensure programs align with team goals and athlete needs.
  • Monitor and evaluate athlete progress, providing feedback and adjustments to training plans as needed.
  • Educate athletes on proper exercise techniques, nutrition, and recovery strategies.
  • Maintain and oversee the safe use of the school’s weight room and fitness facilities.
  • Assist with PE classes as needed, incorporating fitness and conditioning principles.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for all student-athletes.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Education (PE) certification required.
  • Certification from a recognized Strength and Conditioning is required.
  • Prior experience in strength and conditioning, preferably in a high school or collegiate setting.
  • Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports performance training.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate team schedules.
  • Commitment to student-athlete development and safety.
