Captains’ Course Set for August 14
The first Captains’ Course will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
This year’s session will be tailored to directly address the needs of SCHSL student-athletes. It will include a mini rules clinic to ensure athletes are fully aware of expectations, including what constitutes sportsmanlike and unsportsmanlike conduct, the consequences of violations, and ways to promote positive mental attitudes and community service within their teams.
These courses and summits are completely free for all SCHSL member schools.

All students must be registered by their school. Athletic directors are encouraged to register all team captains and organize a designated location (e.g., auditorium or film room) for the student-athletes to attend the session together. This creates a valuable opportunity for team discussion and reflection.
