Moore, Wofford named Students Of The Month For January

The SCHSL is pleased to announce the January 2026 Student-Athletes of the Month. Calahan Moore of Gilbert High School has been named the Girl’s Student-Athlete of the Month and Keller Wofford of Berkeley High School as the Boy’s Student-Athlete of the Month.

Gilbert High School’s Calahan Moore exemplifies excellence in both athletics and academics. A standout in tennis and soccer, she has earned All-Region honors in both sports while serving as a team captain for each. Known for her sportsmanship, Calahan consistently thanks her opponents before and after every match, setting a powerful example of leadership and respect.

In the classroom, Calahan maintains a 5.217 GPA, excelling in multiple dual enrollment and honors courses. Beyond academics and athletics, her passion for inclusion and service shines brightly. She founded Soccer Super-Heros, a completely free soccer league for athletes with disabilities that has grown tremendously since its start. Additionally, she organizes the Miss Spectacular Pageant, an event celebrating children with special needs.

Calahan is also active in Beta Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), and pageant participation, all while managing her two thriving non-profits. Her dedication to serving others, while excelling as a student-athlete, makes her a remarkable role model for her peers and community

Keller Wofford exemplifies the true definition of a student-athlete, excelling both on the field and in the classroom. With an outstanding GPA of 5.278, he ranks near the very top of his class and sets a powerful standard of excellence for all Berkeley High students to follow. His academic achievements are complemented by his exceptional leadership and character—serving as Leader of the Beta Club and the Leadership Club, where he models integrity, service, and dedication in all that he does.

A senior leader on both the football and baseball teams, Keller represents a blend of academic excellence, athletic leadership, and community service. Last year, he served as the starting pitcher in the State Championship Baseball Game, helping deliver Berkeley High its second state title in three years and only the second in the school’s 112-year history. His accomplishments both on and off the field make him a model example of what it means to be a Berkeley Stag.

Keller’s impact on school culture is equally profound. As the emcee for all Berkeley High pep rallies, he embodies school spirit and unity, connecting students and staff alike with his charisma, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment to the Stag legacy. That legacy runs deep—his parents and grandparents are proud Berkeley alumni, and Keller carries that tradition forward with great pride, serving as a living bridge between past and present generations of Stags.

Beyond the walls of Berkeley High, Keller is actively engaged in community service and leadership initiatives. Through his involvement in the Athletic Department, Beta Club, and Leadership Club, he helps organize and participate in numerous local outreach efforts—ranging from youth mentorship and community cleanups to school and town events. His dedication to giving back reflects his humility, compassion, and genuine desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.

Keller Wofford’s leadership, both on and off the field, has left an indelible mark on Berkeley High School and the Moncks Corner community. He is the embodiment of what it means to lead with purpose, serve with heart, and uphold the proud traditions of being a Berkeley Stag.
