Middle School Summit Prepares Future Leaders

The South Carolina High School League extends our sincere gratitude to the student-athletes, coaches, and administrators who participated in the recent SCHSL Middle School Summit. Your presence and engagement helped make the event a success.

This year’s summit provided middle school representatives the opportunity to gain insightful knowledge directly from current high school student-athletes from our member schools—Spring Valley High School, Southside High School, and Westwood High School—on critical topics including:

  • Leadership
  • Social Media Responsibility
  • Conflict Resolution

Additionally, we were privileged to hear from Michelle M. Nienhaus, who shared valuable strategies on how to identify and handle challenges within schools and communities, equipping participants with tools to better serve as leaders among their peers.

We would like to give a special appreciation shout out to the following middle schools for their participation and commitment to student development:

Abner Creek Middle School                     North Central Middle School

Boiling Springs Middle School                 Palmetto Middle School

Brewer Middle School                               Pleasant Knoll Middle School

Thank you again for your support and dedication!
