Chain Crew Of The Week Is Back For 2nd Year
SCHSL Corporate Partner Farm Bureau Insurance Extends Support Of Program
Columbia, SC- The partnership between South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance and the South Carolina High School League was recently extended through the 2024-25 school year. And with that extension, the extremely popular Chain Crew of the Week feature has returned as well. During the football season, eight different crews will be recognized with their photos appearing on a dedicated webpage at SCHSL.org as well as via the SCHSL Twitter account. Those crews are also recognized during a home game by their school with a public address message and receive special SCHSL Chain Crew of the Week vests to wear in future games, provided by Farm Bureau Insurance.
“We are very appreciative of the support we receive from our corporate partners,” states Commissioner Jerome Singleton. “Our relationship with Farm Bureau Insurance has grown over the past few years as has their support of our student-athletes and SC communities. The Farm Bureau brand has become identifiable with SCHSL Football. Member schools have eagerly supported the Chain Crew weekly recognitions and we are pleased this highlight will continue.”
“We are excited to partner with the SCHSL to give a much-deserved shoutout to the dedicated chain crews working Friday nights,” said Susan Merrill, Director of Marketing for South Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Company. “They are out rain or shine, measuring downs and keeping the game moving-all while dodging runners and tacklers who slide over the sideline. We look forward to seeing and hearing about more crews this season!”
Beyond the Chain Crew of the Week promotion, this will be the fourth consecutive year that Farm Bureau Insurance will deliver full coverage of the SCHSL football playoffs, sponsoring the postseason brackets and enhancing the championship celebrations of all five classifications. And fans have become familiar over the past three seasons with the Full Coverage Scoreboard, as the SCHSL Twitter account serves as a score reporting outpost for all 155 playoff games from the first round to the state championships.
Women’s sports are celebrated as well thru this partnership with Farm Bureau Insurance playing a large role in the SCHSL Softball postseason. The brackets, showing all 158 teams their path to a championship, are provided by Farm Bureau Insurance and the Full Coverage Scoreboard provides updates on every single postseason game that is played. And when the dust has settled and champions have been crowned in five divisions, the winners celebrate with their commemorative SCHSL State Champs placard provided by this long-term partner.
