Position Overview
Coaches will be responsible for leading, developing, and mentoring student-athletes while fostering a positive and competitive athletic environment. Candidates should be committed to supporting the academic and personal growth of all students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct practices, conditioning sessions, and team meetings
- Develop game strategies and prepare teams for competition
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development
- Monitor student-athlete academic progress and eligibility
- Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe training environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience preferred (school or club level)
- Knowledge of sport-specific skills, rules, and training techniques
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check and meet all school employment requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching certification or experience working in a school setting
- Experience building or growing athletic programs
- Commitment to equity and inclusion in athletics
Compensation
