Henson, Adams Students of the Month
The SCHSL is pleased to announce the October 2023 Student-Athletes of the Month. Kenley Henson of Great Falls High School has been named the Girl’s Student-Athlete of the Month and Nori Adams of Marlboro County High Schoolhas been named the Boy’s Student-Athlete of the Month.
Kenley Henson
Henson is a senior three-sport athlete at Great Falls. She is a 2x All-Region in Cross Country, 3x All region in Softball, 2x All-Region in volleyball, 2x Great Falls High School (GFHS) MVP for volleyball, and a GFHS Most Valuable Runner for Cross Country.
Henson is a former Rock Hill Herald Player of the Week for softball. She has also attended the most recent SCHSL Fall Captains Workshop and Health Summit.
Academedically, Henson is currently ranked #1 in her class with a GPA of 5.18. She has been named Junior Marshal and Palmetto Girls State delegate. She has taken a full course load of college classes including: History 111, Music 110, History 112, Criminal Justice 101 and American National Government and many more.
Henson has participated in adopt-a-highway, helped organize a canned food drive and blood drive, participated with pack-the-bus school supply drive, and assisted in other community projects. She also volunteers with her school’s athletic department by greeting elementary school students and opening car doors on Friday mornings.

Nori Adams
Adams is a senior varsity basketball player and captain at Marlboro County High School. He has a GPA of 4.6. Adams is currently on the President’s List and ranked #7 of 159 in his class. He is a part of the National BETA Club. He is also a 2022-2023 Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Scholarship recipient (Theta Phi Lambda Chapter, Bennettsville SC).
Some of his athletic accomplishments are 2020 State Championship Men’s Basketball AAA, Mr. Bulldog Award 2022-2023, All Region Basketball 2nd Team 2022-2023, and Student Athlete Award yearly. Adams shows leadership by being a Bulldog Ambassador. He is a part of the student body leadership club, selected by the principal.
He leads by example, encourages and supports school spirit, and advocates for both students and teachers.
He is a part of Fellowship Christian Athletes (FCA), and special projects and fundraisers to provide support in the community. Adams also volunteers in the following areas: MCHS Alumni Basketball Game, MCHS Future Bulldog FB Camp and at the Sawmill Baptist Church (Bennettsville, SC).
