A Playoff Proposal
32 teams for all sports for
playoffs – totals for upper/lower state noted for each sport. Please realize that with only having 7
regions, the number of schools per region varies to be able to fill the
bracket. The committee went through each
sport and noted the number of schools in each region for each sport. As the committee was going through numbers,
it was realized that the lower state has more schools with each of the sports
than the upper state. We did the same
process for each sport. We also noted in
the upper state since there is only 3 regions that a region’s number 2 seed was
going to have to be recognized as number 1 for the bracket process. We made notes of a that below for each
sport. Some sports have one region for
year 1 and another region for year 2.
